Ludwig Rockers Snare Drum w/ Carrying Case, Stand, Sticks & Pad for sale in East Hampton, CT
I honestly don't understand exactly what the formal title for this drum is (I used it in the house as my method tool when I was in my college band), however the top surface of the drum head checks out "Ludwig Rockers (Made in USA): Tool Coated" and the lower surface area checks out "Ludwig Resonant Snare (Made in U.S.A): X Thin Clear Snare". So, I guess it's a resonant snare drum in Ludwig's Rockers line of items, and it has a medium-coated leading area and a clear base surface area. The drum has a 14"-dimension head (16" size overall) and determines 53/4" high. It's weight is regarding 6 pounds. The top surface area reveals a little indication of bodily wear, yet it is still tight and provides a sharp noise when struck. The lower area is spotless. The sides show little to no aesthetic concerns. The stall runs exceptionally well, although there is some speckling (if thats the appropriate word) in spots on the silver surfaces. The screws all transform quickly, and the bolts fasten firmly. The very-solid, plastic lugging instance has area for the drum, its stand pieces, as well as a set or more of drum sticks. I've included my ideal set (16" long, 1/2" diameter, weight of 2 ozs each) which have a glossy, smooth surface. All informed, the entire weight of the case with all products inside is 16 pounds. The stand's elevation varies from 21" to 33" (about, depending upon the elevation of the legs): basically, the stand can telescope a total of one foot. The third "prong" of the upper part of the stand could be manipulated to safeguard in a different way sized drums. Also consisted of here is a black, rubber drum pad which fits over the leading surface of the drum. It has a 6"-dimension main section, which is concerning 1/2" thick and heavily mutes stick strikes to a "tap-tap-tap" noise and virtually entirely gets rid of the "snare" noise. The outer ring (the entire pad has a 131/2" diameter, so the ring has a 7.5" width) simply muffles the snare audio and gives a much more drum-like feel while still minimizing the decibel level. Finally, a training handbook had the situation: qualified First Department Band Technique: Book 3, it consists of about 30 web pages of practice material consisting of rudiments, drum solos, and set pieces. The product is copyright 1964.
